Sometimes you come across an App so cool you want everyone to know about it and even want to give it away to people you really like. Maybe that App is Angry Birds...maybe that App is Drawing Pad. In any regard, here are the instructions on How to Gift an App using one of these channels:
iTunes
An iPad
Barnes and Noble site
Amazon Appstore
Using iTunes on a Computer
1.) Find the App on the App Store (for example Drawing Pad) and click the down arrow and choose "Gift This App"

2.) Decide whether you would like to email the app as a gift or print out a certificate. Fill out the info and click "Continue"

3.) If you prefer to print it out and deliver in person or use as a stocking stuffer, check the "Print gift myself" button and click "Continue"


4.) The final print it out is a colorful 8.5" x 11" sheet of paper with your personalized note, the icon, and instructions on how to redeem the App with the code.

Using an iPad to Gift an App
1.) Find the App on the App Store (for example Drawing Pad) and click the "Gift This App" option in the upper right corner.

2.) Fill out the information and tap "Buy Gift." Moments later Apple will send a beautiful email to your recipient!

How to Gift an App on the Barnes and Noble NOOK Store
(Note: NOOK Apps require either a NOOK Tablet™ or NOOK Color™ by Barnes and Noble.)
1.) Barnes and Noble JUST ADDED a new feature where you can gift Apps! First find the App on the App Store (for example Drawing Pad) and click the "Buy As Gift" link.

2.) If you have a B&N account sign in. If you don't, it's "one easy step" to create one.

3.) Type in your personalized message to your recipient and click Submit to send the gift via email or click "Preview Email" to see what your email will look like.

4.) If you click, "Preview Email" here is a preview of the Gift email message. Click "Submit" and a beautiful email will be sent to your recipient from Barnes and Noble.

How to Gift an App on the Amazon Appstore for Android
(Note: Apps on the Amazon Appstore for Android require an Android Device.)
1.) Amazon has a GREAT way to gift ANY denomination of money in the form of a e-Gift card AND recommend what item you think they would enjoy! Visit http://amazon.com and click "Gift Cards" at the Top of the Page.

2.) Click the "eGift an Item" button

3. Click the "Pick an item" button.

4.) Search for your item (for example "Departments > Apps for Android > Drawing Pad") and choose it.

5. Preview your gift message and then click "Add to Order." Complete the Check out process and you are done!
